There’s no shortage of great sunsets where we live. Yet every time we’re treated to a view like this, it takes our breaths away. This piece reflects my continuing practice with painting sky and clouds, particularly with capturing luminescence. The composition also affords lots of fun capturing subtle shapes, colors, and textures in waning light. “What the hell color is shadow?” I ask while I paint.
